Hello,I’m Gary Hua from Beijing No.2 Middle School。
I aspire to become a researcher in computer deep learning, focusing on optimizing intelligent urban transportation systems to contribute to a better and harmonious society.
I am deeply passionate about science and technology. My accolades include securing the first prize at the 41st Beijing Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest, the third prize at the 37th National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest, and the first prize in the Chinese region of the 2023 S.-T. Yau High School Science Award for Computer Science. Additionally, I have been recognized as an Outstanding Student by the Computer Science Department at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In my spare time, I am actively involved in volunteer work. My experience at the China Braille Library deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by the visually impaired. Focusing on blind primary students, I expanded the digital database for Braille e-books with braille coding technology. This initiative inspired me to design a braille learning machine, for which I have successfully obtained a patent.
I also have a broad range of interests outside of my academic pursuits, including sports. I have been dedicated to ice hockey training and competition for nearly 12 years. Currently, I am the assistant captain of the Flame Ice Hockey Team at the Beijing Little Wolves Ice Hockey Club. Besides my personal training, I oversee the team’s daily practices and logistics and serve as a mentor and assistant coach for the club’s junior members.
Additionally, I have excelled in calligraphy, painting, and piano.
